Student Discovery Day

The  Sarasota  Medieval  Fair introduces our 2nd annual Student Discovery Day on Friday, November 19, 2010 — A festival day set exclusively for students!  (This day is not open to the general public.)  Student Discovery Day offers an engaging learning experience for students, and is a perfect opportunity to see curriculum in action for only $5 per student!

Teachers are provided with resource materials and classroom activities prior to the festival to prepare students for a full Medieval Era experience!

  • Schools will receive one FREE adult chaperon ticket for every 10 student tickets purchased. Additional teachers/chaperon tickets are $10.00. Bus drivers get in FREE and parking is FREE.
  • PLUS, students will receive a FREE Student Ticket ($14.95 value) at the end of their visit to come back to the festival for FREE that weekend (Nov. 20-21, 2010) with their families and friends!!!
  • Schools who purchase a minimum of 20 student tickets, may elect to receive a FREE 3’x3’ blank cloth canvas.  The purpose of the canvas is for the students to make a crest or design representing their class/school.  Canvases will be displayed at the festival Jousting Field for all to see!!!
  • Students will receive a FREE individual character biography card as they enter the park.  Each character biography card represents a real person in history who had an essential role in this year’s theme.  The card provides unique facts about a specific person in history, what side they were on, what social class they were, and more.  Students will be interactively immersed as history comes alive!
